Scientific Scope

The 4th International Symposium on Anodizing Science and Technology (AST2025), organized by Anodizing Research Society (ARS), focuses on various aspects of anodizing science and technology. The symposium will be based on a plenary lecture, keynote and invited lectures, and contributed oral and poster presentations.

The topics of interest include, but not limited to:

• Fundamental understanding of growth of anodic oxides on various metals.
• Structural and morphological control of anodic oxides.
• Self-organization process of porous oxide films on metals.
• Physical and chemical properties of anodic oxides.
• Characterization of anodic oxide films.
• Porous anodic oxide template for fabrication of nanomaterials.
• Anodizing of semiconductors and its applications.
• Surface treatments of Al, Mg and Ti using anodizing technique.
• Functional applications of anodic oxides.
